Dog Walking Ideas in Cronulla

First on the list is an off-leash dog park known as the Greenhills Beach Dog Park (Greenhills St, Kurnell). This park is located at the southern end of Cronulla Beach, and it’s an ideal place for your pup to socialise and exercise. The park is fully enclosed and has a large grassy area for dogs to play around and explore. Another great dog park is Dunningham Park (Kingsway and Elouera Rd), set atop a hill with stunning panoramic views of Cronulla Beach.

If you're looking for a bit more of a physical challenge, there are plenty of scenic walking trails that are also pet-friendly. The Cronulla Esplanade Walk stretches from Wanda Beach to Bass and Flinders Point and takes you through some of Sydney's most stunning coastal scenery. Your leashed pup will be delighted to join you on the picturesque walkway overlooking the ocean and nearby dunes.

Of course, It would only be a day out in Cronulla if you visited one of its pet-friendly beaches. Oak Park Beach (154 - 164 Ewos Parade) allows leashed dogs and offers wide open spaces with plenty of shade - it’s an excellent spot for a picnic. Hordern Beach (access via Brighton St, Bundeena) is either on or off-leash, depending on the time of year; you can check the council website for details.

A little further along the coast is Silver Beach (284 Prince Charles Parade, Kurnell), which allows dogs off leash 24/7, 365 days a year. The dog-friendly area spans the third and fourth rock groynes at the western end of Silver Beach, next to the Bonna Point Reserve car park and to the right of the Bonna Point Boat Ramp.
